Thank you very much for visiting this blog. Yet before we get any further, there's a couple things I'd like to explain, including why this blog is named "Collector's Diary".
First of all, I think we all are collectors. It's only a matter of what we collect. I know there are certain things are considered collectibles, and some are not. However, I believe collecting is as simple as keeping things we think are precious. One man's trash is another man's treasure, isn't it? I've heard of someone who collects paper shopping bags, and a friend of mine eventually collects wine corks. Just like them, I'm into some things.
In general, I'm into old stuff, antique stuff. I'm not being vague. The truth is, every time I visit a swap meet, a yard sale, or an antique store, I fall in love with something I wasn't collecting. You will see a variety of things I collect in future posts, and they really don't go into one category other than old.
When I pick up something I don't have knowledge for, looking them up and finding out things about them is also a big fun part to me. Since I realize that I don't always find satisfying answers, I decided to keep this blog as my own notes, questions, and to share.
Now you see why this blog is called Collector's Diary, although I'm in noway a professional but a specific keeper, who want to share a couple things about the things I love.
Notes on antiques, vintage items, and old stuff. About how to repair, clean, check to buy, and store them. Also their histories and facts.
